I have been rubbish at keeping this blog fresh and on the pulse but I have had a hectic few months over the turn of the year including moving out of the parental units homely home, dodging recession/redundancies, learning to iron all by myself and generally adapting to living slap bang in the middle of the City that we all proudly announce as the capital of England! Londonium home to a million and me now! Truly awesome living is all I can say.
So, why the break I hear you ask…. Lack of internet in the flat is the simples answer and therefore my musically ears and fingers have ground to a slow halt. Poo, bum and willy. I am going to try again to rectify this issue.
Here I sit, tapping my foot once more to another storming tub thumping tune by Officer Kicks (OK). Opening with the monotone line “Tom Thumb why do you give it so large”. What a summer 08 was! Standing at the front of OK set wiggling majestically and generally being a hyped up child in front of a band that has really drawn me in and kept me fixed by just being genuine and upfront. Jamie Scallion’s energy as lead is truly stupendous! And halt right there, before this goes into another blog about how much I am in love with their music and them as people.
Other bands and tunes that have caught my eye/ear over the past few months include:

o Natty feat. Carlton Livingston – Collie Weed – the second banger dedicated to the Baker. JB.
o Hilltop Hoods – The Nosebleed Section –the 3rd office anthem provided by Mr. Gerry Bowness
Animal Collective have also reeled me in, along with Fight Like Apes, Shrag, Smoke Feathers, Rod Thomas, Swanton Bombs, William Echo to name a few… I will write more and let you into the music of my life when I have sorted the net at home and I have more time than a lunchtime to bosh this out.
